October- The beginning of the end

October.

I miss my home in New York. I miss the falling leaves.

In Florida time goes by without really noticing another year has passed.

It's like time just keeps going by unnoticed.

Now I need a calendar to know what month it is.

I no longer feel it in my soul the way I used to feel Spring,

Summer,

Fall

and Winter.

My husband is one year sober in October.

I wish I could mark it with the falling of the leaves.

The beginning of the end....in all it's beautiful glory.

You live in Florida...oh man. I lived in Texas for awhile. It was sweltering heat, followed by the monsoon rains, followed by sweltering heat.

Next time I see a golden red leaf wet with dew, I'll send ya a good thought.

One year sober--that's huge, no?

I love the change in seasons here in Mass. But I'll tell you what, I just stepped outside and it's damn chilly out there! I don't know if I'm ready for 6 months of cold...

Fall, with all the beautiful leaves, is my favorite season. Congratulations to your husband on one year sober!
